Notes to Editors

An account is not required to edit most pages, but we still suggesting making an account :3 (upper right link "Create account")

Some Pages are Only editable by Admins/Moderators

A lot of edits can be done via visual editor. Click the edit tab(upper right) to bring up the visual editor.

Pages that cannot be edited without higher privilege:

• Bombergirls Page (req. Trusted)
• Event Page (req. Autoconfirmed)
• Bomberman-Fu (req. Autoconfirmed)
• Templates/CSS/Etc. (req. Admin)
• This page & Home page (req. Admin)

Transclusion is used on this wiki. If the page you are trying to edit features transclusion, you will have issues editing said transcluded content.

If you wish to edit Transcluded Content, You'll need to edit it directly from where its being transcluded from.

If you check the source of a page, Transcluded content will be in {{ }} brackets, and what ever is in the brackets is gonna be the name page/source

I'll make note of some important transcluded pages here:

Events
This is where event banner for the home page is hosted. edit within the < onlyinclude> < /onlyinclude> area (in source) to have it show up on home page usually we just copy paste the concluded events below, then input/upload the new event information/date
Bombergirls
This is where the current Characters grid/links are stored. Character pages
A bit complicated atm.... We are currently working on making Character pages Have Tabs (each Tab is Its own Transcluded page). For pages that have been converted, the general syntax is: Charactername/Overview Charactername/Gallery Charactername/Voice Charactername/Lore Charactername/Changelog (note: It's Caps sensitive) Example of a Tab converted Character page: https://bombergirls.dreamhosters.com/index.php?title=Shiron You will not be able to edit(visual editor and/or source editor) general information from a Tab converted page, You will need to locate the Transcluded Page, and edit that directly example of Shiron transcluded pages Shiron/Overview Shiron/Voice If you want to access said pages Just add /content to the end of the URL and it'll take you to your desired page example: https://bombergirls.dreamhosters.com/index.php?title=Shiron/Overview https://bombergirls.dreamhosters.com/index.php?title=Shiron/Voice

Building a Character page w/ templates.

Overview:Filling out a page has 3 parts 1st you invoke the Character_Start template 2nd you invoke the Skill_Normal Template for how every many skills the character has 3rd: (optional)you just Strategies & Tactics + Fun facts section.(just copy it off another page that has it) Template Usage: To use a template just head over to desired template page, And copy the usage section over to your targeted page. (start the selection after "== Usage ==" and stop right above "< / noinclude >") After that you just fill out the variables with the correct data for character you are working on. Via source:Find the variable you wanna edit and make sure to "Data" starts after the = and ends before the | Via visual editor:Click the area controlled by a template, find the template pop up window and click the edit button. A window will pop up and you'll be able to edit the value of each variable. Click "apply changes" button to close/save changes. Note: Some Variables/Tables are a bit trickier to use. Instructions can be read in source mode. example: (the size of some tables can be shrunk for the skill template)
